  • Where Did She Go?

Do you remember that girl from summer..
The one who had eyes that shone brightly every time she smiled?
People say that was her best feature.
I hear she melted a few hearts.
She had a lot of things going for her too.. school, good friends, chill parents..
She didn't need love and was content with what God had given her..
But, love came and went anyway. She moved on, head held high.
Then one day, reality hit her.
She had finally realized life had more downs than ups but you just had to cope with whatever life dished at you.
At the same time, she began to question those around her. Were they really there for her? Was it a mere front? It was question after question after question.
    She found herself floating.
And then, at the pit of her downfall, the cliched knight in shining armor came riding by on his brilliant stallion to sweep her off her feet and give her her own fairytale to live in. He gave her a sense of comfort that no one before had - they had that "connection." But she knew better than to think it would last forever.. she just didn't expect that chapter of her life to end so soon.
So she took a deep breath and decided with strong determination that the next chapter of her life wasn't to be wasted. She'd spend it with those she cared for and doing things she loved without regrets or fears.
But her optimism was cut short. More things came up - things outside of her reach. And then she was left in a pool of confusion and misunderstandings.
She longs for stability and control again. She knows she'll have to work hard to get there. She'll have to do things her pride and ego won't allow her to, but she'll do it anyway. She's stubborn like that. Gee, she reminds me of me abit.

And so the girl from the summer slipped away and I'm sitting here wondering...where has she gone?
    I miss her.

  • In Between

    a quote from erika's blog.

"floating means you dont have one set place to stay. no place to call your home away from home. they see you as a "floater", you see yourself as a "floater". it seems like "these type of people" have more but really, they dont have anyone.

you're not really anywhere...you're just in between groups.
& in the end, that really sucks."

  • Lay Your Head Down

Lay your head on my shoulder
It'll be alright in the morning
    Oh yes it will
Said I'll try to ease your pain
I'll hold your hand through stormy weather
Oh yes I will, yes I will
Lay your head on my shoulder
Be by your side, I'll make it better
    Don't you hear me love
Like a knight in shining armor
I'll save the day cause you're my lover
Don't you hear me hey, hey
Lay your head on my shoulder
I'll hold you tight even if it takes me all night
Dry your eyes please don't cry
I'll wipe your tears just to see you smile
Even if it's for a little while
Tender heart don't let your world fall apart
    Darlin' please believe
there's more to life than what you see

Lay your head on my shoulder
It'll be alright in the morning
    Oh yes it will
Said I'll try to ease your pain
I'll hold your hand through stormy weather
    Oh yes I will
    Yes I will
    Oh yes I will

  • oops.

    so it's been a while.
life always seems to be passing me by and yet each day seems endless.
    but no worries,
as one thing slips away into the past,
many other things will develope into kickass memories to come.

  • Long but GOOD Read

    A Message by George Carlin:

The paradox of our time in history is that we have taller buildings but shorter tempers, wider Freeways, but narrower viewpoints. We spend more, but have less, we buy more, but enjoy less. We have bigger houses and smaller families, more conveniences, but less time. We have more degrees but less sense, more knowledge, but less judgment, more experts, yet more problems, more medicine, but less wellness.

We drink too much, smoke too much, spend too recklessly, laugh too little, drive too fast, get too angry, stay up too late, get up too tired, read too little, watch TV too much, and pray too seldom.

We have multiplied our possessions, but reduced our values. We talk too much, love too seldom, and hate too often.

We've learned how to make a living, but not a life. We've added years to life not life to years. We've been all the way to the moon and back, but have trouble crossing the street to meet a new neighbour. We conquered outer space but not inner space. We've done larger things, but not better things.

We've cleaned up the air, but polluted the soul. We've conquered the atom, but not our prejudice. We write more, but learn less. We plan more, but accomplish less. We've learned to rush, but not to wait. We build more computers to hold more information, to produce more copies than ever, but we communicate less and less.

These are the times of fast foods and slow digestion, big men and small character, steep profits and shallow relationships. These are the days of two incomes but more divorce, fancier houses, but broken homes. These are days of quick trips, disposable diapers, throwaway morality, one night stands, overweight bodies, and pills that do everything from cheer, to quiet, to kill. It is a time when there is much in the showroom window and nothing in the stockroom. A time when technology can bring this letter to you, and a time when you can choose either to share this insight, or to just hit delete...

Remember; spend some time with your loved ones, because they are not going to be around forever.

Remember, say a kind word to someone who looks up to you in awe, because that little person soon will grow up and leave your side.

Remember, to give a warm hug to the one next to you, because that is the only treasure you can give with your heart and it doesn't cost a cent.

Remember, to say, 'I love you' to your partner and your loved ones, but most of all mean it. A kiss and an embrace will mend hurt when it comes from deep inside of you.

Remember to hold hands and cherish the moment for someday that person will not be there again.

Give time to love, give time to speak! And give time to share the precious thoughts in your mind.

    AND ALWAYS REMEMBER:

Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away.

  • vat?

By now you expect to know some things about a few things
Then you realize you're even more lost than before
And that the things that once meant something no longer mean anything
And that those that once meant nothing are now your everything.
You'll find yourself floating among your conscious
Into the late hours of the night.. just there.. thinking,
    fearing, wishing, lying, escaping.
    that's a lot of -ing's.

i suffer from lack of boyfriend.
